A Look Back at Quality Craftsmanship and Fenster’s Handmade Replicas
When it comes to wooden windows, Norco Windows, Inc. has a rich history that stretches back over 100 years. Originally founded as Northern Sash and Door Co. in 1922, this company quickly became a staple in the window industry and played a crucial role in the economy of Hawkins, Wisconsin. In 1966, Jeld-Wen purchased Norco’s assets and unfortunately discontinued the brand name, products, and warranties. If you were to call Jeld-Wen looking for repair or replacement items, there’s a very strong likelihood they would redirect you to Fenster. A glowing recommendation, if you ask us!
Though Norco’s chapter in the window industry came to a close, its windows remain in homes and buildings to this day. For homeowners with Norco windows, the question often becomes: What happens when these windows need repair or replacement?
That’s where Fenster Components steps in.

I assist an elderly gentleman and his home has Norco windows. He has a large window in his living room and it is made up of eight different sections of glass. There are two stationary panes in the middle and on the outside there are two panes that crank open. Then there are four smaller stationary panes above the lower windows. One of the windows that cranks open has lost its seal and the argon has leaked out and it has gotten foggy. The home was built in the early 2000’s. Is it possible to just replace the glass in the one section that has leaked? Thank you.
Doug,
We can not replace just the glass. We recommend having a local glass company fix that for you.
Where can I find Norco replacement windows in Indianapolis
Robin,
We manufacture Norco sash replicas and we are just outside of Indianapolis-in Noblesville.
Hello
We have a houseful of Norco windows. House was completed in 2001. we are second owners. Many windows are fogged, and we might try to replace just the glass, however some of the windows have partially rotted out and frames need replaced. Also these windows have flat muttons or spacers between. Wondering if you have some thoughts on this. The windows are wood.
Robert,
This definitely sounds like something we could help with. If you’re interested in purchasing a replacement sash, please submit a quote request form online at https://fensterusa.com/ordering-info-checklist/. We’d love to help you!
We have a four paned Norco window that is leaking on one end. The two panes on one side leak. This was installed in 1993. It is wood interior and exterior. Size is approximately 9×5.5’. Can we get a replacement from you?
Elna,
This sounds like something we’d be able to help with. Please submit a quote request form online to get started.
We have a four owned windows roughly 9’ wide by 5.6’ high. The two ends crank open but this is not necessary. We have a leak on the left side and have been told the seals are broken in the two left panes. Does the whole window need to be replace or can this be fixed somehow. We need wood interior and exterior. My phone number is 320-249-2598. Thanks so much!
Elna,
It sounds like you’ll need to replace those window sashes.
So are you saying it is possible to replace only the sashes and not the entire window to fix the leakage problem?
So it sounds like we can replace the two sashes and not the entire window to correct the leakage problem. Is that correct?
Elna,
That is correct.
I have a house full of Norco windows and lost a 28” strip that holds the screen in place on the top of the window. Not sure what it is called maybe a track or spacer? Can you help?
Tina,
I’ll send you an email now.
Our house has Norco casement windows, vintage 1990. We live near the ocean and the hardware track and possibly the gear driven by the crank at the bottom of our bathroom casement, has failed due to corrosion. It stays in place open ~1.5 inches now, which is ok with us, but does not secure the window from being pulled out.
Do you sell replacement hardware?
James,
We offer some crank operators that are available for online purchase at https://fensterusa.com/window-hardware/.
We need the insert at the top of the window frame for a screen insert in a Norton casement window. The screen is 21 1/2” wide. We need two inserts for two windows.
Steve,
You may be able to find this piece on our hardware website, http://www.fenstercomponents.com.
