We want to help! With Rockwell officially out of business, Fenster Components seeks to offer Rockwell’s former customers a solution to their failing windows. We currently have very little information on Rockwell products in general. In order to best serve our customers, knowledge is our priority. We seek sample sashes of any and all wood and wood/clad sash products produced from 1978 to 2010.

We also put a call out to former Rockwell windows salespeople and distributors that may still have catalogs or specs in their possession. In addition, we seek information relating to Rockwell Windows’ component supply chain, specifically their cladding and weather stripping suppliers. Fenster wants to be your customer, not your competitor!

Fenster Components has been engineering replications of original sash profiles for most major brands since 1999. Our catalog to date boasts over 60 casement and double-hung profiles and continues to grow with more nationwide customers seeking solutions to their rotting window issues. Our goal is to connect qualified window professionals to homeowners who need help as efficiently as possible.

We manufacture replicated sash profiles and replacement sash for Rockwell primed and cladded casement, primed double-hung and Barber and Ross primed double-hung. Complete assembled sashes are available for all primed units with clear or lowE glass. Knocked down “frame only” sashes are available for cladded units and primed units without glass. Unfortunately, replacement cladding is not available at this time, but we’re working on it!

We keep running into hail damage claims in Carmel, where small hail has made teeny tiny dents in the aluminum cladding on the bottom rail of Rockwell sashes. The dents are so small, you can’t feel them – but can see them with the aid of a flashlight or by chalking. They only occur on the upper flat part of the cladding (the part that’s only about 3/8″ wide). The contractor says the entire window must be replaced since Rockwell is out of business. Have you had any luck with creating cladding replacement for Rockwell windows? Thanks…

Wes, Unfortunately no. Most cladding was proprietary to the original manufacturer and not available to us as an after-market product.

I am currently tooling to create the clad for Rockwell/Barber & Ross casements. If you’re interested in purchasing this in bulk with me, I would be willing to talk about it.

We now have an after-market replication available for a Rockwell cladded casement sash in four industry standard colors and custom colors available with a minimum order.

I have Barber and Ross Wood double hung windows circa 1998. I replaced one sash with Barber and Ross before they went out of business so I have a bottom sash part/model #. Most of my windows are the same size. Is it best just to purchase 1 double hung Rockwell set to test then buy the rest in bulk?

Mike, We’ve been informed that, contrary to our information, that the B&R double hung sash is slightly different from the Rockwell profile. I would recommend sending us an upper/lower set to confirm and/or properly replicate the B&R product, or purchase our Rockwell replication in upper/lower matched sets to guarantee a proper fit. I would not try to interchange uppers and lowers of the two brands.

Hello- I am looking to replace my original Rockwell windows. Is there still a size chart for what they offered in standard sizes? They are casement aluminum clad from around 2001. Thanks

      Greg,

Unfortunately, we do not have a size chart for casement windows. You would need to measure using our video on our quote form.
