Malta window cladding is now available!
It’s a great day for homeowners and builders as we unveil the new Malta window cladding, now in stock! This development marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing high-quality, durable products that meet the unique needs of every customer. The Malta window cladding we have in stock is specifically designed to match two popular vinyl-clad Malta window models, promising a seamless integration with existing installations.
The vinyl-clad casement shown here has a mitered corner, a foam-filled perimeter weatherstrip, and an interior glass stop. Fenster part number MT200-C.
The vinyl-clad double-hung is a boot-glazed window with a sharply mitered corner on the lower sash. Most models had a Torx screw as the lower tilt pin and a helicopter pin screwed in through the cladding on the upper. This window was produced for many years from the mid-’80s through the mid-2000s. All looked the same but with differences of note. Earlier models were boot glazed with two different glass thicknesses. The newer is a wet-glazed sash with an interior glass stop. The Fenster after-market unit will match the more recent model with the interior glass stop but WILL fit the older models since the sash profiles otherwise were not altered. The Fenster part number for a complete cladded sash is MTDH250-C (upper or lower).
Currently, we are stocking WHITE Malta window cladding for both models. However, for those desiring a different aesthetic, beige/sand can be specially ordered with a minimum quantity of 10 sashes.

My window has a broken latch . Does the whole panel need to be replaced. It is the crank out that is not working….my window pane is not broken but I am not able to open and shut the window….
Where is the nearest dealer? I live ;in Clear Lake IA 50428
Phyllis, Sounds like a hardware issue. You shouldn’t have to replace the sash panel. Hardware is tricky to identify over the phone or email. We would need pictures of the parts in order to help identify them. Those can be sent to sales@fensterusa.com, or you might get a handyman or window expert involved to help you with this.
Phyllis, We do not have stores. All retail sales are done online from our headquarters in Indianapolis at https://fenstersusa.com
I need Malta window screens 35 3/4inches by 38 3/4 inches. most screens sold in Home Depot etc are Andersen and do not have these dimensions
Carl, I’m sorry, we don’t do screens. Ttry a smaller home town hardware store, not the big box guys.
Could you tell me aprox. how long it takes to receive the compression jamb liners after ordering?
Also do you still make the cladding for Malta windows? Thanks. Ed
Hi Ed! Kind of a complex question. Lead times and availability are very specific to each product. A stock jambliner that we actually have in stock can turn in about a week. If we’re out of stock, and have to order from the factory, 3-4 weeks. If its a special order we don’t normally stock, then it could be as much as 6 weeks.
The cladding question is similar. Technically we don’t make any of the cladding. It’s all from various suppliers. We have a specific model of vinyl clad (the chrysalis series I believe) that we do have the original cladding shape for. We have 2 other models, one vinyl clad, one aluminum clad that we’ve adapted to work with OUR aluminum cladding shapes, and then there are a couple extruded clad models that we can not do because the cladding shape is so unique that we can’t match it and it is not available from any other supplier. It really depends on what model you are looking for.
